On Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building, the Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet will met in open markup session to consider H.R. 2994, a bill to reauthorize the Satellite Home Viewer Extension and Reauthorization Act of 2004.

Summary of Amendments to H.R. 2994

An amendment offered by Rep. Blackburn, R-TN., would allow satellite operators to provide signal bleed subscribers in short markets with signals from network affiliates in adjacent market, thus helping ensure all Americans have access to their local television stations. This amendment was offered and withdrawn.
