On Wednesday, June 17, 2009, the Committee on Energy and Commerce met in an open markup session to consider H.R. 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009.

Summary of Amendments to H.R. 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009:

An amendment offered by Rep. Lee Terry, R-NE, that would exempt farms that store raw agricultural commodities from registering with FDA.  This amendment was offered and withdrawn.
